Please Welcome our Guest Designer

Hi! I’m Shyra from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Firstly, I am truly honoured for being this month’s Guest Designer. This is my first time featured as Guest Designer since I started scrapping in November 2007 – many thanks to my lovely friend, Ed for the opportunity!

I’ve always loved anything related to art and craft since primary school. I’ve discovered the world of scrapbooking while I was browsing the magazines at the Borders and stumbled upon the scrapbook magazines. I’ve bought the Scrapbooks etc magazine and from there the journey started – I began to browse the Internet what scrapbooking is all about and where I could find the scrapbook products in Malaysia and based on my discoveries – I got hooked!

I am glad that I’ve discovered this hobby because apart from getting new friends from all over the world who share the same passion as mine, I managed to preserve the precious memories onto the gorgeous patterned papers and embellish them with the cute and lovely scrapbook products one could find out there. I usually scrap on my family and friends and my layouts are usually done in 12” x 12”. What I would like to get involved more in the future is to create more mini albums and altered items.
